The individual
airlines will be happy to assist their passengers with the transfer
to and from the airport. Assistance by specially trained personnel
as well as wheelchairs, sedan chairs, special vehicles for transport
to and from airplane, are to be requested when booking the ticket.

Around
the city
Vienna's underground
stations are well equipped for people with disabilities as 80% of
all stations have "guiding strips" for the visually impaired,
showing the way to stairs, escalators and elevators.
Vienna's public
transportation service, instead, can be used by persons with disabilities
only to a limited degree since the entrances of most streetcars
and buses have steps.
However, the
following lines of streetcars and buses are equipped with street-level
entrances or fold-out ramps: the 6, 26, 31, 43, 44, 46, 65, 67,
71, J, 3A, 5A, 7A, 8A, 13A, 57A, 63A, 77A, 83A and 84A.

The radio taxi service "40 100" (Phone. 40 100) can also
be ordered by fax (918 18-848) a special order form as well as confirmation
will be faxed back immediately.
