Austrian Currency
There are 8
Euro coins denominated in 2€, 1€ , 50¢, 20¢,
10¢, 5¢, 2¢, and 1¢ (cents). Every euro coin
carries a common European face. On the reverse, each European Member
State have their own motifs.
There are 7
euro notes in denominations of 5€, 10€, 20€, 50€,
100€, 200€, and 500€ (euros). There is no difference
in notes throughout the euro zone.

Exchange
Currency can
be exchanged at banks and Bureaux de Change available in all Vienna,
but it may be easier to use the ATMs.
Banks
Banks are open from 8.00 to 12.30 am and from 1.30 to 3.00 pm Monday
to Friday, except Thursday when they close at 5.30 pm. Banks are
closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, but exchange offices
at airport and city rail terminals are open seven days a week.

and debit cards are widely accepted though some small hotels and
restaurants may only accept cash. Travellers cheques are also accepted.
