Although we somewhat exceeded our estimated arrival time due to a delayed flight and it was Christmas Eve -that, I understand, is actually more important than actual Christmas Day in Austria- the young lady that welcomed us was extremely curteous and friendly, checked us in quickly and efficiently and provided us with some tourist brochures and a couple of very good suggestions for things to check out while in Wien.

Staying at Gasthof Riede definitely contributed to making our Christmas in Wien even better than expected.
We were allocated a spacious, cozy room with a spotless bathroom -separate WC- on the second floor,and the copious breakfast was always served with a smile.
30 seconds away -across the street- from the subway, that will have you in the centre withing minutes. Also extremely convenient for visiting beautiful Schoenbrunn, walk (10 min), take the bus or the subway.
Pedestrianised shopping street with a number of convenient places to eat around the corner.
Outstanding value for money with the personal touches that you cannot possibly get in a chain hotel.
I'm looking forward to returning to both Wien and Gasthof Riede and I can only wish that every city I visit had its own Gasthof Riede.

Room size was very generous and a separate wc was a bonus. Shower was excellent for pressure and water temperature.Great to have a lift. Could recommend this to anybody.

Excellent place to stay in Vien! The rooms are spacious and very clean, the staff is polite and the breakfast is just great! The hotel is located very close to an underground station and it is very easy to reach the city center from there - just a few minutes away. I recommend Hotel Gasthof Riede to be the right place to make your stay in Vien most enjoyable and I will certainly be back! Olimpia Chisiu - Bucharest

Wonderful experience! The hotel is very near Metro station. The opposite is a market and a large supermarket, a convenient location! People are very nice and helpful! I'll definately stay there if I have a chance to go to Vienna again!

I WISH THERE HAD BEEN A SINGLE ROOM AS THE EXPENSE FOR A DOUBLE ONE WHEN I ONLY USED ONE BED WAS MORE THAN I COULD REALLY AFFORD...BUT THAT HAPPENS I GUESS

Cosy place, in the good location - metro station in front of the hotel and 10 minutes to the center. This district doen't have much restaurants - so I recomment eat in the center.We were very satisfied and we will come back.

It was very convenient to have the subway station so near, and restaurants etc in the neighborhood. They could have better coffee in the morning. There was no internet facility in loco, but there was one two minutes away. A nice clean and hospitable place for a reasonable price!

We got the keys within minutes, and we were given a city tour with recomandations and directions - very nice.

The breakfast is delicious - especially the fruit yoghurt - the best I've ever had.

I was pleasanly surprised to receive a bottle of wine labeled with the name of the hotel - really nice.

It's really, really close to everything - the subway station is litterally across the street. And there is also a very nice Beerhouse nearby ;)

Next time in Vienna - I know where I'll stay!

Proprietor is more than happy to let you leave your luggage at the hotel for any length of time on the day of departure - this was very useful.

Room lacked character, but was spacious and spotlessly clean and everything was in very good condition. Very easy and quick to get to from Westbahnhof. Good breakfast.

Steps from the underground, a grocery store and internet cafe. A walking/shopping street is a minute walk away. The rooms were outstanding in every way, size, ammenities, cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail (fit and finish). The breakfast buffet was excellent, a good variety of food and drink items, served with a hello and smile each morning.

The proprietors and staff of the Hotel Gastof Reide have created an excellent overnight rest stop for an individual or family. I would recommend the Hotel Gastof Reide to anyone wihtout question and certainly return there myself for any future visit to Vienna.

The room was very great and cleaning up, even if the baths are old. The hotel is next to the station metro and is ideal to quickly reach Schonbrunn. The breakfast didn't have a lot of choice.

It’s a simple hotel, dignifiedly furnished. The room that we had was very great - almost apartment - with rather small and uncomfortable baths (a room with wc and one with sink-shower). The place is quite and clean. The breakfast was discreet. Ps: they don't know how to make the warm chocolate.
