I left my coat on a tour bus - one not provided thru Dr Geissler -and the staff rang and located it for me and it was returned the next day - fantastic service

We were able to leave our bags at reception and pick them up later for our return flight - much appreciated

You need a sharp eye to spot the entrance when walking in the rain with umbrellas up and heads down. its opposite the rear entrance to the Post Office.
Cannot get over 2 persons in lift at one time, however very good stairs for fitness

Very good value for the money paid, central location, within walking distance of nearly all the sites, exceptionally helpful staff who understand and speak perfect English.

The receptionist gave us a few useful tips for visiting Vienna upon our arrival at the hotel.

Despite the fact that the room was quite old and BASIC, as expected, it was also VERY CLEAN. The beds were quite hard, which wasn't too good for my sensitive back.

Considering the relatively high hotel prices in Vienna, I would definitely consider Pension Dr. Geissler as being good value for money!

We read a few comments on this website that there was quite a lot of noise on the street side at night. We therefore asked for a room at the back (and not near the reception area) before making our reservation, and we got such a room without any problem.

we were pleasantly surprised that even though
we arrived early our room was ready for us to
occupy.

We had helpful advice about getting about on
the local trains and busses. We had to leave
very early [4-00am!!] for our flight home and
in the absence in room tea making facilities
we greatly appreciated being given some milk
so that we could make a cup of tea with our
own travel kettle.

We had to leave very early settled up the day
before and simply left the keys in our room -
no problem.

Tea coffee making facilities in rooms would be
an improvement appreciated by guests.
More could be made in the brochure of the very
convenient location - we walked almost
everywhere.

Simple accommodation that was clean and
comfortable - all we needed you don't stay in
the hotel room you are out enjoying Vienna.
Very central and once we had got our bearings
this Hotel was within very easy walking
distance of everything we wanted to see - and
the stations for things further afield [eg
Schonbrunn]

Everything was as promised, including the airport pick-up

The only small complaint I had was very bad smell from the bathroom plumbing. A little of incense and aromatic candles took care of the problem but unless this is fixed, there will be a continuing bad smell for anyone arriving in this particular room

Prdictability of the accommodations and service was very refreshing. No surprises, and that was nice.

- should stress very good connections with the city underground and trolley lines and provide the guest with specific information on how to use the Vienna transportation system, ticketing, prices for a 72 hour pass and the closeness of the facility to all major lines

major sites within walking distance
breakfast was decent though you might want to
go elsewhere and spring for one of those
delicious pastries and some fab coffee
...
vienna is not your cheap town, so though the
room was overpriced, so is everything else
...
Here is a convenient, safe,cared for place to
lay your head. Staff is friendly and helpful,
and you can walk to where you need to go from
here.

Pension Dr. Geissler is the place where you can feel yourself like a local resident in Vienna.
