I left my coat on a tour bus - one not provided thru Dr Geissler -and the staff rang and located it for me and it was returned the next day - fantastic service

You need a sharp eye to spot the entrance when walking in the rain with umbrellas up and heads down. its opposite the rear entrance to the Post Office.
Cannot get over 2 persons in lift at one time, however very good stairs for fitness

Very good value for the money paid, central location, within walking distance of nearly all the sites, exceptionally helpful staff who understand and speak perfect English.

The receptionist gave us a few useful tips for visiting Vienna upon our arrival at the hotel.

Despite the fact that the room was quite old and BASIC, as expected, it was also VERY CLEAN. The beds were quite hard, which wasn't too good for my sensitive back.

Considering the relatively high hotel prices in Vienna, I would definitely consider Pension Dr. Geissler as being good value for money!

We read a few comments on this website that there was quite a lot of noise on the street side at night. We therefore asked for a room at the back (and not near the reception area) before making our reservation, and we got such a room without any problem.

Everything was as promised, including the airport pick-up

The only small complaint I had was very bad smell from the bathroom plumbing. A little of incense and aromatic candles took care of the problem but unless this is fixed, there will be a continuing bad smell for anyone arriving in this particular room

breakfast was decent though you might want to
go elsewhere and spring for one of those
delicious pastries and some fab coffee

vienna is not your cheap town, so though the
room was overpriced, so is everything else
...
Here is a convenient, safe,cared for place to
lay your head. Staff is friendly and helpful,
and you can walk to where you need to go from
here.
