 The Restaurant Coburg is the gastronomic heart of the building. Here, in the "belly of the Palais", 2002 Cook of the Year Christian Petz celebrates his style of cuisine, which has received many awards. The focus is on clear, modern, purist cuisine at a top international level, which affords itself the luxury of quality without compromise over the basic products and which consciously rejects the short-lived phenomena of contemporary fashions. As well as bringing simple products and classic dishes once more to the fore, the deliberately playful combination of wine and culinary delights continues to be a central theme of Petz´s gastronomic expertise. |
 As you would imagine, the wine list is correspondingly of the highest quality. It ranks amongst the best internationally. In the gastronomy of the Palais Coburg, the theme of wine is universally honoured. Whilst the Bastion Bar in the Coburg Wine Bistro itself offers captivating views into the wine cellar, visitors holding a special celebration have the opportunity to enjoy the "treasury of wine" over an aperitif or with a wine-tasting. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 6.30pm to 0.00am and it is closed on holidays. The Coburg Wine Bistro offers delicious light meals, either in the Bastion Bar or in the Garden Pavilion, throughout the day. Here, the day begins in a relaxed atmosphere, over first-class coffee and a select offering of breakfast dishes in the style of Italian Espresso bars. At lunchtimes, gastronomes can enjoy delicious light meals, each finely matched to the suitably attractive wine accompaniment. In the afternoon, freshly-baked pastries and the famed Viennese specialty coffees invite you to linger. In the evenings, the outstanding selection of wines is complemented by a range of light gastronomic delights. |
 Coburg Spa: above the roofs of Vienna, the guests of the Palais Coburg enjoy an exclusive SPA area with the latest training equipment, sauna, steam-bath, whirlpool, counter-current indoor pool and dedicated sun-terrace. Surrounded by tropical plants, the SPA offers the ideal setting for relaxation and recovery after tiring days. The fitness room is equipped with TV facilities, and a fridge stocked with soft drinks is available.  Events: the Palais Coburg offers nine different events venues, over a total floor space of 2,300 m². In architectural terms, they take the visitor through six centuries of building history. The historically unique casemates (underground constructions which once formed part of the city defences), the exhibition spaces in the Coburg Vaults, the magnificent ceremonial rooms with direct access to the garden, through to the Johann Strauss Concert Hall - all set new standards in terms of events venues, using the latest sound and lighting technology. |
