The total of our suites in the Palais Coburg Hotel Residenz range in size between 54 m² and 165 m², with an average size of 100 m², and they are mainly spread over two floors of the building. Each suite is individually furnished. Embracing the hotel's slogan, "preserving the past and shaping the future", in these rooms our guest is frequently reminded of the historic setting in which he is staying, whilst at the same time he does not have to forego the quality and comforts of a luxury-class hotel. Each of the suites is named after one of the historic personalities who were part of the family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha or are connected with it. You will find representatives of the ruling houses of Great Britain, France, Hungary, Portugal, Bulgaria, Belgium and Austria. On the basis of their furnishings and their position in the Palais, the suites have been divided into four different categories - the Imperial, Palais, City and Modern Suites - which take into account the different needs and personal taste of guests. |
Standard facilities in all suites are own entrance area, separate living and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchen with mini bar, luxurious bath, separate guest WC and individual air conditioning control. Imperial Suites: The Imperial Suites, above the ceremonial rooms on the second floor, are furnished in magnificent splendour and are the most impressive room category. The lower level offers a generous living-room, a large terrace with a view over the Palais gardens and the City Park, a luxurious kitchen and a guest WC. The upper level accommodates the bedroom and a large bathroom, in some instances with a whirlpool bath and sauna. The furnishing is in the elegant Empire style, supplemented with antique writing desks from the Late Biedermeier period or in the Directoire style. Silk curtain decorations, from soft cream tones through stunning rust-reds to strongly-contrasting variations in blue and gold, lend the suites individuality and comfort, with antique Lobmeyer chandeliers and wall lights radiating warmth and casting light onto the history of the Palais. 204 - Victoria 205 - Ferdinand 206 - Marie Antonie |
Palais Suites: The Palais suites, situated on the first and second floors, offer a view over the Palais gardens. The furnishing is classically elegant, similar in design to the Imperial suites. On the lower level, they have a general living area, a well-appointed kitchen and guest WC. The upper floor accommodates the bedroom and a large bathroom, in some instances with a whirlpool bath or an extra-large tub. The furnishing of each suite is unique to the individual suite in this category as well. The furniture, chosen in the 18th century French and Italian style (Louis XVI/Directoire), is combined with antique chandeliers and wall lights, curtain decorations in silk, taffeta silk and moiré fabrics, and wool carpets which have been specially designed and made. 101 - Boris III 102 - Ferdinand I 103 - Marie Louise 104 - Marie Amèlie 105 - Louis Philippe 201 - Leopold I 202 - Edward VII 203 - Albert 207 - Clementine 208 - August 209 - Maria da Gloria 210 - Dom Fernando |
