 Vienna waits for you. It takes you approximately 12 walking minutes to the city center - the Imperial Palace - Hofburg, the Museums' Quarter, the Opera, St Stephan's Platz and many others. For more than seven centuries, the great empire of the Habsburgs was ruled from the Imperial Palace. Today, the Gothic Imperial Chapel, where the Vienna Boys' Choir performs during High Mass on Sunday, is a remnant of the Imperial Palace during the Middle Ages. It takes you 5 minutes to walk to the "Trendy Shopping and at and around the famous Naschmarkt-market and the Kettenbrückengasse". Mariahilferstraße, at 300 meters is the biggest shopping street of Vienna. At 200 meters you can reach the Haus des Meere, and at 400 there is the Café Sperl, one of the oldest coffee houses of Vienna. At 500 meters you can visit the Theater an der Wien, Secession, and MQ - Museumsquartier. The distance to the next underground U4 / station Kettenbrückengasse is not even 150 meters. Take it and go 4 stations with the underground and you can visit Castle Schönbrunn - Empress Sisi's former summer residence. This baroque complex contains an enchanting park, the Palm House, the Gloriette and a zoo. |
