 The house hosting the Zipser hotel was built in 1904. Beginning in 1905, it was used as a home for young girls, and shortly afterwards it was rebuilt into the 'Pension Zipser' with 11 single bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms. Between 1920 and 1931 the famous Austrian poet "Ödön von Horváth" stayed in the 'Pension Zipser' on a few occasions and even mentioned its name in one of his books called "Stories from the Wienerwald". |
 In 1967 Mrs. Hedwig Austerer took over the "Pension Zipser" and renovated it with great care. The 28 rooms were then turned into 47 fully equipped rooms. Through constant rebuilding and renovations of the rooms we try to offer our clients the highest possible comfort. The Hotel is now a family business managed by the third generation. A detailed attention to service, a convivial atmosphere and Viennese tradition are still the guiding principles. |
