the concierge and people behind the receotion desk were extremely helpful and welcoming.

the only disappointment was the breakfast. By the time we arrived at about 8:30 am for breakfast, all the food looked very picked over. There were eggs that were available for soft and hard-boiling, but not for scrambling or sunny side up. For the cost of the hotel room, it wouldn't have been too much to ask to have the eggs prepared by the staff to order. that was our only complaint. and no half and half cream for coffee... but maybe that's not what the viennese like in their coffee,

i would recommend Wandl to friends in the future. The location is ideal. it is pretty and small, which I like in a hotel and the staff at the front desk was very good at recommending good restaurants in walking distance from hotel so i only have praise.

Hotel Wandl is an excellent budget option for staying in the heart of old city of Vienna. Located just 3 minute walk from the metro station, is also 30 minute away from the airport (if you take the express train). Clean, quite, excellent breakfast and again... perfect location.

A most, enjoyable place to stay - clean, quiet, well-managed, very convenient to all attractions in the city. Excellent breakfast except for the rock music on the radio during breakfast - not in keeping with the atmosphere.

I had asked for a double bed and I got a double room but it had 2 single beds. It was comfortable enough. But I was told they only have double rooms with single beds. This is fine if they say that and not agree to a double bed not just a double room.

The rooms themselves were clean and spacious,but my own fault, I open the windows to sleep and the noise in the streets below were intrusivwe the whole night. It may be the custom in Austria?Vienna but I have had in other countries in such star quality hotels the facility to make a cup of tea in the room. I missed this but wondered if this was the general practice.

I loved my stay at the Wandl. It was so central ,the building was beautiful ,it was clean and the breakfast was substantial and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Thank you.

Although I came to the hotel at about 4 a.m., the receptionist was very polite and friendly, answering all my questions not only about my stay but about the town itself, places to go and how to reach them.

A nice, well-positioned hotel in the very center of Vienna, close to all important sites in the town, with the staff highly professional and very polite and helpful. In one word, I would stay at it again.

I have atsyed at the Wandl on many occassions over the last ten years or so and always enjoy the excellent service and good location.

The only comment that I would have is that I do not generally stay at the Wandl during the hot summer months becuase of the lack of klima.

Unfortunately we arrived on the eve of the European Cup Final. The room was tiny and I believe had been reconfigured from a single to a double because of the football event. (We did subsequently see other rooms on this floor being converted back to singles following the Final) However after two days we were able to be moved to a much larger room which was completely satisfactory.

I asked a receptionist if I could use the hotel's computer to check in online for my departure flight. He was unhelpful - almost obstuctive. However, a little later, his colleague did so for me charmingly and efficiently.

The room was very small - smaller than I would expect for a hotel of this category - but it was very clean, quiet and fulfilled my needs for the time I was there. Had I been on a business trip, however, it would have been too small. TV remote control did not work and I could not get the safe to function - I could have asked for them to be fixed but since I did not really have to use either, I did not bother.

For the price I paid, I believe I could have stayed in a better room. The hotel was not fully booked, therefore I am sure there were better rooms available during the time of my stay.
