By car
From the highway A1: follow the indications to the city centre; continue along Hietzinger Kai and Schönbrunner Schlossstraße . Turn left into Margaretengürtel ; go past the Westbahnhof railway station and continue along Lerchenfelder Gürtel . Turn right into Josefstädter Straße and after the Theater in der Josefstadt , turn right into Buchfelgasse .
From the highway A2: follow the indications to the city centre; take the exit Triesterstraße ; at Matzleinsdorferplatz take the Wiedner Hauptraße ; after passing Karlsplatz , proceed along Kärntnerstraße ; in front of the State Opera turn left at the traffic light onto Opernring ; follow the Ring until reaching Dr. Karl-Renner Ring ; immediately after the Parliament turn left into Stadiongasse which leads you straight onto Josefstädter Straße . From there follow the above mentioned indications.
By train
From the Westbahnhof railway station (3 km away) take underground line U3 in direction of Simmering and get off at the Volkstheater stop. From there proceed by underground line U2 in direction of Schottenring and get off at the Rathaus stop.
By airplane
From Vienna airport (22 km away) take the city airport train (CAT) to Wien Mitte , change to underground line 3 in direction of Ottakring , get off at the Volkstheater stop and follow the above mentioned indications. | | |
