 Restaurants and Bars
Award winning Viennesse, European and Japanese cuisine. No other hotel offers such a variety of restaurants like the Grand Hotel Wien. The guests can choose between our two gourmet restaurants (Le Ciel and Unkai), a Viennese café (Grand Café) and the Lobby Bar Rosengarten and Kavalierbar Cocktail Bar.
Le Ciel Gourmet Restaurant
"Le Ciel" was voted the "The Best Restaurant of the Year 2005 "! Since the opening of the Grand Hotel Wien the doors of the restaurant "Le Ciel" have been wide open for those who enjoy culinary delights. Siegfried Pucher, Food & Beverage Director of all restaurants and bars of the hotel, and his team make every effort to ensure that this star in the sky of the Austrian culinary heaven continues to rise and for the last 10 years they have maintained the highest levels of quality. Newcomers such as the young and ambitious Sous-Chef Jacqueline Pfeiffer, in charge of cuisine since 2003, bring creative verve to the French orientated culinary art. This performance has not remained unnoticed by the renowned gourmet guides, very soon after opening "Le Ciel" was awarded with 2 toques by "Gault Millau". These have hovered above the restaurant "In the Sky" ever since. In February 2005 a further distinction was added. The gourmet guide "Improved Cuisine and Travel in Austria and South Tyrol" voted "Le Ciel" the "Best Restaurant of the Year"! |
 The restaurant is located on the 7th floor, where the view over the city of Vienna is spectacular. During the summer season meals are also served on our rooftop terrace. Business Lunch is available on weekdays, and you are free to choose between three and four courses from the daily menu. Should you be pressed for time, the entire Business Lunch will be served within an hour. Le Ciel also organizes specialty weeks and wine tasting according to the season.
The Grand Café Restaurant
Grand Café will spoil you with Viennese specialities and traditional home-made Austrian pastries, as well as international dishes. On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays a champagne breakfast will be served. The Grand Café also features our famous Guglhupf, a special breakfast sponge cake, prepared according to our own secret recipe. This can also be taken home in a decorative gift package, or posted throughout the world as a special gift. It is available in two sizes. The Grand Café is located on the 1st floor, which allows a fine view down the Ringstrasse, as well as direct access to the adjacent Shopping Mall.
Unkai Japanese Restaurant
The Japanese restaurant Unkai offers a fascinating variety of japanese specialities. Sushi and Sashimi are served perfectly in the traditional manner, and Teppanyaki dishes are perpared in front of guests. These dishes have been awarded 'two toques' by leading restaurant guide 'Gault Milau' and they have also received the 'Trophee Gourmet' for ethnic cuisine. Two Tatami rooms with original decor and two European-sytle guest rooms are available for private functions. On weekends and holidays we offer our famous Sushi Buffet.
Lobby Bar Rosengarten
The Lobby Lounge features a pianist during the evening and has become a popular meeting place for the Viennese as well as international guests. |

During the summer season the adjacent Schanigarten, our elegant outdoor terrace, offers all kinds of refreshments, and features a variety of Viennese specialities.
Kavalierbar Cocktail Bar
The Kavalierbar is a perfect place for anyone who loves exquisite cocktails. The bartenders invite you to enjoy your favourite cocktail in a select atmosphere. Closed during month of August

High Speed Internet Access in all rooms free of charge. Additionally hotel guests who do not have a laptop with them or do not want to use it in their room can access the internet in our business center, which is located in the lobby, free of charge. Furthermore, wireless Internet access is available in the lobby of the Grand Hotel Wien for an extra fee.
