Without having clear directions (other than the address) we were nervous about finding the hotel. However we chose Schwedenplatz U-station and the hotel was quite close.

Room was certainly far from spacious, but otherwise our stay at Hotel Austria was perfectly acceptable and pleasant.

Note easy access from underground railway stations Stephansplatz and Schwedenplatz.
I read on the web (not sure which site) that the hotel was 'right next to St Stephen's cathedral' - which is quite misleading.

Very convenient location for train and city centre, staff friendly,obliging and helpful, breakfast very good, all facilities good.

A highly recommended Hotel, very quaint, very Austrian and perfect for a romantic, weekend break, right in the heart of the city.

Overall, I was very happy with Hotel Austria. Staff was polite and helpful. Good breakfast, good location, good value. I would recommend it or stay there again. Thank you.
